With a voice that's been called "veiled and mysterious....beaded and tie-die bluesy" She is like the angel assigned to nightclub guardian duty for a good portion of eternity. Sweet but well seasoned
Karen also plays conga and percussion. She met guitarist Peter Heitzman in the early 80's, and together have often been described as a self contained mini-band. Their sound is an elusive mix....melodic, funky....and spontainious.
Karen and Pete were 1996 showcase performers at the North East regional Folk Alliance, and Falco Ridge Folk Festival.
